After taking all, or even just a tiny bit, of this in, you
can return to Sunnyside to relax. As well as the lovely
grounds, a mixture of flower beds and nature, there are some
excellent facilities. There are level camping pitches with
electric hook-up, most are a mixture of firm standing and
grass that can accommodate motorhomes, caravans and tents.
Sorry, there is no rentable accommodation.
The large clubhouse includes a full kitchen which can be
used by visitors and lovely showers, where there is a large
wall mural by Tom Murphy (the Hillsborough Memorial artist).
The spa room includes a large sauna and Jacuzzi and there
are table tennis and pool tables. Outside you can play
miniten, petanque and shuffleboard and on warm days there is
the large outdoor swimming pool. Families will find the
grounds both safe and fun, with a playground and a
children’s room available.
Visitors are encouraged to join
the members in all social activities, the highlight of which
is the 80th Birthday celebrations over August Bank Holiday
weekend. There is a full social programme throughout the
winter and many visitors have returned to join in the New
Years Eve and Burns Supper parties in particular.
Why not come and see what you are missing and reward
yourselves with a great break at this very friendly club.
